Silent Service Publishing House was founded with a mission to honor the legacy of the U.S. Navy’s “silent service” — the submariners who served beneath the waves with courage, skill, and quiet resolve. Our focus is to bring their world to life through authentic, emotionally grounded storytelling that captures both the danger and the humanity of life at sea.

Our flagship project, The Silent Depths Series, follows the extraordinary journey of submariner Daniel Mason across ten novels spanning from the 1930s through the dawn of the nuclear age. Blending historically accurate detail with powerful character-driven drama, the series reveals the unseen world beneath the surface — reminding readers that behind every rivet, order, and dive alarm lies a human heartbeat.

Founded by author and Navy veteran Eric Hawley, Silent Service Publishing House grew from a deep respect for naval tradition and a desire to preserve history through lived experience rather than textbooks.
